How could an event like this impact the community? Who are the stakeholders involved?
An event such as the Binghamton University's “Communiversityfest”, would impact the community in a variety of ways. If handled properly the event would foster good will and feelings of community and civic pride for both the residents and the students. It may also create an environment of shared values and goals. Sometimes there is animosity between the student population and locals. If they are all working toward a common vision then it would be quite possible that through their efforts a form of mutual trust, appreciation and familiarity would evolve.
The community itself would benefit from a public relations standpoint within the geographic region and hopefully the event would generate revenue for not only local business, but for the University as well. The town may be able to attract new businesses to the area and Local revitalization programs may result from the exposure. If so, this could lead to new job creation and snowball into new construction efforts, public services, etc.
At present the town is losing most of the students after graduation to larger urban centres. Should the communiversityfest be even partially successful in stimulating the local economy, then perhaps more of the graduating students would look locally to establishing businesses, gaining employment or other activities.
The stakeholders are the local citizens, the University and the students. All stand to benefit from a successful event that would bring positive attention to the area.

create a holiday homework

are group has decided to have a swine flue awareness day on wednesday november 17th. Tthis holiday would take place in Tempe, more specifically A.S.U. campus. I feel as if it is very important to educate people on the h1n1 pandemic, especially those that are in dense populations and at high risk. To promote are holiday we would give students the day off class, of of course. other promotions would include posters around campus, and advertisments in the school and local newspaper. During this there would be tents with food set up on campus and qualified staff informing everyone about h1n1. if possible there would be swine flue shots given out. on this day. I think that this holiday will really enhance h1n1 awareness.

brain rules

today i went to brain rules from 1-3 pm. i was shocked at some of the things we learned during the brain works video. the most intersting thing that i learned was that the brain works better when your body is active, so i could actually learn and workout. the most usefull thing i learnt was the group exercise on how to properly brainstorm.

I have converted all my journal entries onto my Bolger spot. I did not have credit for some of the assignments that I have completed because they were on a hard copy of my journal and I was unaware that we had to bring it last class. In any case I have all of my homework completed and now uploaded to my Bolger spot

for are homework assignment to sell something, i sold bottle water to my roommates. i spend 3 dollars on a 12 pack of water and sold them to my roommates for a dollar a water. i made a net profit of 9 dollars. this is a great idea because my roommates never have water around
